There is more to it than just paying the biggest bucks for the best players. Scum Utd do it, Chelsea do it, Liverpool do it to a point and now Man City have joined in, as have Tottenham to be fair, but only one team can win the Prem. Chelsea have spent £25million this summer, Scum Utd have spent that on just one player, as have Man City. No-one has a God given right to win anything, buying players because you have the most money isn’t always the case, having a blend of good players that you may (or may not) have spent big money on does work. It still has to be done on the pitch, however rich a club is. If Man City think they will finish top four they are living in cloud cuckoo land. But good luck to Robinho and Man City, no bitterness for them getting their overpriced player. I find it very satisfying how they pushed Berbatov’s price into a well inflated position and gave the scum accross the city no choice but to make sacrifices. That was the highlight of deadline day for me.
