Yes, dad is overprotective, I was also quite young, 18 at the time so he took it upon himself to highlight these requirements before marrying him.

I still stand by what I said. I definitely would not enter a long term sexual relationship without those tests, especially nowadays when sex is so openly engaged in. You can never be too sure.
