lets hope county can win tommorow, so far the best placed teams have won the play offs, always feel its unfair when a team who finished 6th goes up against a team who finished 3rd, more so when there is a big points difference
totally agree Matt.
Its just a money-making exercise under the guise of giving supporters a day out, and devalues the points earned in regular matches.
If there must be play-offs then they should also involve the teams coming down from above

Sorry about that. The staff needed the peanuts because our supply had run out in the staff room, so we didn,t think it would matter if we pinched the users supply. We have to keep our cupboards well stocked with things like peanuts, crisps and booze for our all night parties you see.
fair enough, that would explain the quality of monitoring
but why does GM have to be the coat check girl ?
25 May, 2008 at 11:59 am #338215the two clubs that made it to the final are both massively in debt, one to its russian owner and the other to american banks.
not really a level playing field is it ?

25 May, 2008 at 10:53 am #338213Hardly a suprise. I think most feel rather sorry for Avram Grant, who has kept his dignity all season but was damned either way – if he had won any silverware then people would say it was the beloved Mourinho’s team anyway. And look at the thanks he got for buying that goal-scoring machine Anelka, who refused to take any of the first five penalties, then failed to score with the one he did have (but Terry gets all the flak). Then immediately afterwards starts criticising the manager and his tactics, knowing what was likely to happen. Class act.
So Platini reverts to the old style presentation the other night, with the players climbing the steps to get their medals. Maybe not so good was the idea that each team be led by a nominated personality of each club rather than the captain. Now Man U had Bobby Charlton, which is fine of course, he being one of the five survivors of the Munich disaster on it’s 50th anniversary.
But Chelsea choose to be led up by Peter Kenyon – what was that all about ?
yeah class act that club
