Totally agree, IF they want to use the roads they should have to pass a test, have their eyesight checked, carry insurance, have their “vehicles” MOT’d, pay road tax and have an identifying mark on their bicycle

Cycle lanes are paid for by car users, cycle lanes as with bus lanes cause the mythical congestion the government is using as its new tax raising whinge but most of it is artificially created and deliberately so I reckon SO they can then tax motorists because of it

A cyclist is a pedestrian on wheels, they arent checked for the mental and physical accuity to be on the roads, arent covered should they cause an accident and as such should be where skateboard riders, people on roller skates, babies in pushchairs and other tofu eating gay 5th YMCA’ing village people wanna be’s should be, ON THE PATH!

As mentioned the cycle lanes that cyclists HAVENT paid for through road tax reduce the amount of tarmac available for cars which in many cases has forced a dual carriageway to be reduced to a single lane or has stopped passing a turning vehicle from being possible, despite being empty most of the time they cause congestion

As do the equally empty bus lanes, ridiculous amounts of pedestrian crossing devices, endless supplies of unnecessary traffic lights that hamper rather than help traffic flow, bus stops being right next to a pedestrian crossing island meaning no vehicles can pass when a buss has stopped and endless other”bright ideas” that when combined pull the much whinged about congestion issue out of fresh air as if by magic creating it in excess where theres no need for any to be

Test cyclists,
Make them get insurance, an MOT, a number plate, AND make them pay road tax and THEN they have the right to use the overpriced under maintained roads the motorists have paid for many hundreds of times over in taxation

The 6% one is bandied around alot, thats how much of all mankinds CO2 we in the UK produce, they do however conveniently forget to mention that

1) All of mankinds CO2 production is a very VERY tiny proportion of ALL of the CO2 produced annually, with most of it coming from the sea, volcanos and rotting leaves and folliage, all of which individually produce many many times more CO2 than all of makind put together, so where is the mass expenditure to collect up fallen leaves?

and

2) That comparatively CO2 is one of the more trivial less impactive of the greenhouse gases to begin with, and the ones that are worse than CO2 are also all produced naturally with very few exceptions like freon

Its also interesting that nobody ever bothers to point out that without the greenhouse gases the planet would be a frozen wasteland incapable of supporting life and as such are an integral part of the ecosystem that occur naturally and always have done before man was even on the planet lol

But why let facts get in the way of new innovative forms of taxation and the ultimate distraction for the mindless majority to get all excited about so they’re too busy to question what the politicians are doing with all those extra taxes
