IV always been self employed and l absolutely love it. At times I hate when staff let you down when they pull a sickie..always the boss that suffers when that happens.. Seen myself having to work whilst ill and nearly cancelled holidays.. Apart from that it brilliant being self employed..

hey amplifier! yeah that comment rings a lot of bells. I always found and find that the reason you are the boss in that situation is that you can sort it and get the job done. It’s interesting that you mention “pulling a sickie” …that a term for staff phoning in with ” i won’t be in today because….?”
I must admit…in my days of management,..i have known a lot who use the sickness clause as an excuse for a holiday. Some see how much sickness they can claim and think…hmmmm…i’ll have an extra weeks holiday this year.
