I think we all seen the news from India for the past few weeks. Reminiscent of through’s we all had at start of the first lockdown…. overloaded hospitals running out of basics and beds.
Now that same covid variant is here and spreading. How fast no body really knows.
Will our vaccines stop the spread….no one is sure.
There too many unanswered questions right now.
Here what I do know:
Those under 40 still haven’t been vaccinated.
Most over 40 only had one of two vaccinations.
There a few in our society who will not take any vaccine or wear masks.
Protests on a range of issues happen regularly.
With the easing of lockdown rules from the 17th of May pubs and bars will be full of unvaccinated young. These may become a breeding ground for the new variant. For now until the vaccines proven there worth ageist the new variant I will be sticking to the old rules of mask, hands, space. If I get covid after a year of lockdowns, vaccinations and more….. still end up in hospital. I’m going to be spiting feathers !!!!!!
And my advice to the rest of you is the same. Don’t put all your faith in vaccines. After billions of India’s this variants had time to change a few times. A few 18 year old lads and lasses getting pissed in a pub may bring you in contact with it on public transport, work or at home.
Just be sensible and stay safe.
I think most sensible people will still be wearing masks…distancing from Joe Bloggs and not having sexy time with strangers or none strangers you have not seen for a while
New variants aside…we do not know yet how the vaccine is coping with the original strain…only time will tell …..how many people end up in hospital or even dead that have been vaccinated once or twice….or even the length of time they’ve been vaccinated
Basically from experience of a friend catching covid after he had been vaccinated and who was extremely ill with it and is also just recovering from cancer for the second time….
He rang for an ambulance because he thought he was going to die!….you are now asked if you have been vaccinated….if your answer is yes…you are told to “ride it out at home”
We are not out of the woods…be sensible and not a d1ck….protect yourself….and keep reminding your loved ones the same
I have had a few friends with the corona. It is bad for people with underlying conditions. Most of the people have not had a big deal. So everyone is different. I hope the best for all, I know all the news media is fake all around the world. Everything is just a show. Please take care of yourselves. Nothing is as it seems. Search. Rumble or telegram or dr Charlie ward. Research. Research

You’ll see a lot more of this somer…. people are worried. Few believe we can get to Christmas without a new lockdown.

What makes me really laugh..get vaccine..get vaccine pumped up our rear ends. Will protect you from covid or make it less hard on u if u get it.
Politicians dictating our life every darn day. Controversy and havoc every where. Does it work. Does it not work. Mask help how many to wear. Indoor or outdoor? Never darn ending. Yes so agree be careful..distance some.. wash hands and such. You can not lock people down forever. Lord what next

Linda the reason for the UK vacation program wasn’t to stop covid, lets face it… you cant.
The aim was to keep people out of hospital’s and allow those with more serious conditions like cancer to carry on with treatment. Keeping beds free in intensive care units and cardio wards. (People are still having car crashes and heart attacks. ) In the UK that’s worked. Our hospital’s haven’t been swamp with covid cases or older members of our community. Our system didn’t break and like Italy or Spain last year.
But I will tell you want I do know about the current vaccine’s. There basely a non stick coating that fill’s in the bits covid like to stick too stopping the virus attacking blood cells. Its the reason they came up with them so fast, its not “alive” vaccine. We need two goes at it and boosters later in the year. The concern is it may work too well in some causing blood clots.
I ask myself how effective a vaccine needs to be before I’d refuse it……… I think back to my late aunty do died from cancer a few years ago. If there was a vaccine offering her a 2% chance of surviving she would have taken it. A 2% chance is better than no chance.
