Well on the day of my op I told my surgeon how ill that GNHR made me that was why I refused second dose. He was very nice about it.

What did worry me though is that, he warned me , “what YOU experiencedĀ  for the 4 weeks of GNHR, is what YOUR own menopause will be like, as it is different for all women.” I just said “omg!”.

I am dreading it now.Ā  It was the nearest thing IĀ  can imagine to being drugged, (Ive never taken drugs).

I went crazy. It was on news today there’s a serious shortage of HRT in UK.Ā  Many women are having to go cold turkey.

Expect a spike in wives murdering their husbands. :-(

Sounds like they have been knocked back yet again, talking of age one may be younger. That’s why they fail.Ā  Luck only lasts for so long, then you have to change your strategy. The wheels spin, but time never stops. God only praises those who forgive, skip loaded with fear a cry calls out.

    No need to be cruel.

In my family you dont go through the change until well into your 50s.

its no excuse for belittling a woman and making them feel bad.

In fact my own sister is currently being forced to go through menopause medically cos shes 54 and her body just wont stop releasing eggs. Her fertility and her not getting pregnant and not going through the menopause is apparently dangerous to her health?

why is it dangerous to be fertile and be able to get pregnant if your body can allow it to happen?

    surely your body knows?

why is she being told that she should not be so fertile at 54? why is that such a crime if its what nature is saying is ok?

she has gone through all the tests and fertility and she is 54 and she is fertile and can have more kids and her eggs are fine, they tested her eggs!!! do NOT believe all this crap about being over 40 and NEVER getting pregnant ā€“ internet lies.

It is not unusual for the menopause to kick in when you are in your 50s…

Not sure about all the other stuff and concerns re being fertile are all about….don’t quite get it…the later you start menopause the better it is for your body…once you start the menopause you will suffer many different symptoms and its very important to take calcium, magnesium and B complex supplements

I will be a sufferer now for 6 years in October…..yes 6 years!! remember having an exchange with a chatter about the menopause years ago and this particular chatter said she had been suffering for 10 years…I was gobsmacked…but still thought when I start surely it wont last that long….well im not far off  Ā …another friend of mine suffered 11 years…then had breast cancer…and the chemo threwĀ  her into menopause again!!….good news is she is in the clear and the symptoms disappeared after her chemo finished

So…on from my symptoms…..I would never take HRT unless it was absolutely necessary and I had considered and tried all other options….other options for me are mainly Herbal…so for 2Ā  years I tool Black Kohsh….absolutely fantastic….although I was getting physical symptoms emotionally I was affected at all….I stopped taking it when I thought I was through it…I had no symptoms of anything for about 3 months soĀ  I stopped taking the Black Kohsh….then boom! all the symptoms come flooding back with about 10 new ones and worse than before….yes that does happen!…when you think its gone…it comes back with another exciting addition….but I decided not to take anything for it and just ride it out…barr the bone supplements

I have heard it said that if you take HRT all you are doing is suppressing the symptoms….so eventually when you come off it they will kick in anyway

Menopause is different for every woman and there are literally hundreds of symptoms

This is very interesting Kent.Ā  I do not know about other countries but in the UK the menopause appears to be the last great taboo.

Why were we not taught any of this in school?Ā  Is it being taught today?Ā  More than half the UK population is female.Ā  I wonder if it would all be different if it were men who go through this.

I saw on the news a few months ago this greater manchester police woman in her early 40s, began the menopause.Ā  She said she had no idea what was happening to her, she thought she was having a breakdown.Ā  After time off work and treatment she returned to work in the police.Ā  Her main role now is talking to the Greater Manchester police about menopause. Yes lots of burly cops sitting and listening.

This is long overdue.Ā  I wonder if this present shortage in HRT in the UK would have been allowed to happen if it were a man’s issue?

The supernatural beings releasing eggs, only to feel as if their inner souls areĀ  reproducing more hate. Cogs of wisdom show a lonely descriptive path, leading to downstairs where only the fire shines. Love people learn to forgive and the eggs released, will take you upstairs where the pearly gates open. Leading you to heaven where you can listen to gods true wisdom, although downstairs is burning. You will feel all warm and bubbly inside, leading you to the greatest achievement of all happiness. Putting all your eggs in one basket, will leave you desolate along with being emotionally sickened. My advice is two fried slices, two organic fried eggs along with a great big dash of tomato ketchup mmm. Sweet as a nut.

The menopause was forced upon me having to take Tamoxifen at 47. Didnā€™t bother me at all until two years later when they thought my ovarian cysts could be cancer.Ā  This gorgeous tall handsome African gynecologist couldnā€™t wait to rip them out ( he expressed he would like to keep them for medical science and I complied lol)Ā  and said ā€œOh how are you going to cope with much more serious symptoms of the menopauseā€? Oh get lost I thought Iā€™m wellard!

Two weeks after key hole surgery once Iā€™d stop screaming nightly with the referred pain in my shoulders Booooooooooom the mega hot flushes started!Ā  He was very into herbal remedies and recommended Black Kohsh which I took for two months which I found quite pricey and didnā€™t work for me.Ā  I went cold turkey and had lots of different symptoms for 10 years the main one being extreme hot flushes but I used that to my advantage in that it saved me a bloody fortune on heating!

One of my besties is a Sexual Health Expert and sheā€™s used to very hot Hospitals, sheā€™d come round at least once a month for supper and until sheā€™d satisfied my curiosity about the whys and wherefores about vaginal warts and other sexual diseases I wouldnā€™t turn on the heating, then Iā€™d whack it up to full belt!

The one thing that stuck in my mind was that I overheard an emanate head surgeon talking to another cancer patient ā€œ Please promise me you will never take HRTā€!

They never offered it to me because they couldnā€™t but Iā€™ve known so many who swears by it.

Try Vagisan Forum along withĀ  Estrogen and some diazepam, it works a treat.

HRT is not given to cancer patients…there is a different one I cant remember the name prescribed by a consultant only, not even a GP can prescribe it, my friend was given that instead but she came up with loads of spots on her face and stopped taking it and went cold turkey. There was also a herbal one you should not take if you have had cancer…cant quite remember which one that was either, it might have been Sage….I did research for her at the time….my memory is bad because of menopause btw!

Badderā€¦ā€¦ I think it would be quite ridiculous to give menopause talks to school girls…..its a bit like talking about a pension to a teenager…they think its absolutely years and years away they don’t need to know about it then…..I even dismissed and found it quite boring in my 30s when someone mentioned menopause…I used to think I’m quite healthy and fit and I was sure I would not suffer from half of the things the women were discussing…my mum included!……how wrong was I?

I think having menopause clinics at your GP surgery or local hospital would be more beneficial, for women approaching the age and want to attend and be prepared and for women actually in menopause. Where a healthcare official could discuss symptoms and confirm individual symptoms and concerns in a group environment…which would also make you feel you are not alone and going mad!

Periods of course and sex education should be continued to be discussed as should birth control, that is what you should be learning about at school. A hormonal teenager has enough to contend with and I personally think then menopause is not so important at that particular time.

sorry for the essays :rose: Ā  :rose:
