(….also supposly clever people dont blv in them religous books, why is that then?,…) – i did use the word – supposly – (yes obv rubbish spelling), it is just what i have heard not fact.

also i agree iq dont prove fact, they are bias tests aswell, idk why they still use them.

it is not about bad things in the the world, it is about following a book with (supposed)  fictianl info, i mean do u ever ? why not all humans follow some relgion, maybe they have read th religous books, and found ublv things in them, in fact i know someone who has read the bible and dont blv it, i mean some relgous person told me there will be 77 vergins in heaven, how can that be proved lol, some other person who is relgious said someone in the bibled shown them self and told her what her future wud be, i am not sayiing she is lying, but if some therpist heard that they prob label them as having scitso or and d.i.d,like i said i still have not read them books, so my opnion is naïve, but i blv i wud say the same opnion if i read the books.
i think when we die we will be in a dream untill we are born as someone else.

”I really don’t believe that some sort of divine justice will take place on death – that all the nasty people will get their come-uppance, and I will get rewarded with lots of coffee cake.”

Bit arrogant to presume you’re lumped in with the coffee cake brigade too…..

    B-)

oh dear, rudeboy, where did I claim that you did say that about the big bang theory? It was a response to a couple of other posters. Sorry to disappoint. But I’d be more than happy to be enlightened about the lasting legacy. I’ sure you can google it and let us all know. Lasting legacy, that is.

Try actually reading his work instead of expecting me to summarise it in concise soundbytes on a message board. Your patronising tone continually irritates, you quote my message stating ” Stephen Hawkings never created the big bang theory sorry to disappoint” so who were you talking to then or are you too senile to forget you quoted me whilst saying it?

. In the Cambridge Science faculty, a majority believe in some sort of creator. . .

Complete and utter rubbish, where do you get these erroneous facts from or are they just conjured up out of thin air?

The National Academy of Science charted belief in God as low as 5.5 percent among biologists and 7.5 percent among physicist and astronomers in a 1998 study.

I don’t know if there’s a life after death, though the house of Lords was always said to be proof. I’m living on the assumption that there isn’t one. It would be very nice if there were a Heaven where I once again met people dear to me who are dead. I really don’t believe that some sort of divine justice will take place on death – that all the nasty people will get their come-uppance, and I will get rewarded with lots of coffee cake. That’s not the nature of my Christianity. Not orthodox, am I?

This post is contradictory , you state you are living on the assumption there is no afterlife but claim to be a Christian? If you aren’t “orthodox ” in these basic views then by definition you can’t be a Christian.

Ms mooose (misterq knows what innuendo lies n this),

You are such a snotty know-it-all.

How do you know I won’t be getting coffee cake??

Are you the person behind heaven’s cake counter handing the goodies out, in between sunning yourself on a divine Algarve at taxpayer’s bloody expense?? *starts to scream like a banshee

And if you smile and give me an inferior angel cake instead, there will be trouble with a big T.

Apart from reporting you to God as a troll, I will do things I don’t know what yet  but believe me they will be so bad that I daren’t tell you.

    grrr…know-it-all

    as for rudeboy..

dude, I am busy atm, but when i return I’ve been drinking gallons of water before meeting you at the Pisspot Corral for the showdown in this contest.

In the meantime, what was Hawking’s lasting legacy? This is purely interest, nothing else. I’m sure you can google it and find what I can’t find.

If this guy wasn’t rudeboy’s hero,

File photo dated 09/12/14 of Professor Stephen Hawking

imagine the fun he would have on his face..the ears, the squashed-up face, the cravat, the teeth…

or am I getting him confused with mags, or norfolk…

or don’t they all have a go??

Don’t get me wrong. They all make me laugh sometimes with their merciless humour.

I had a friend who had motor neurone disease. A lovely woman, full of character and with a beautiful smile. She died within a year or so. The last time I saw her, we just held on to each other in genuine sorrow.

How did this guy last 54 years???? He was only given 2 to live.

    Did God spare him?

Whatever, his endurance and faith (in science) were living disproofs of his idea that we are just a bunch of advanced monkeys living on a small planet.

    Ge

    Did God spare him?

The NHS and advances in medicine kept him alive, Sceptical. No doubt alongside his own personal courage and incredible will to live. ‘God’ doesn’t enter the equation.

Also you keep misquoting him out of context to suit your stance. I am not impressed at all.

“We are just an advanced breed of monkeys on a minor planet of a very average star. But we can understand the Universe. That makes us something very special.”
