I’ve been away for a couple of days, and have just seen the headlines of this.

Been an intersting thread, though, in all sorts of ways.

I have sympathy with Mrs T’s viewpoint, but feel I’d like to know more.

I do have two questions – if anyone can answer them. First, if the fosterparents have the same attitude to Poles (or E. European immigrants) as Terry and Nigel Farage, why did they agree to adopt these children in the first place? They’re good foster parents, by all accounts, and they must have known the ethnic nature of the kids they were adopting??

Secondly, and more importantly, having given these children (already confused and disturbed, by all accounts) to UKIP parents, did the Council or Social Services conduct careful interviews and pose careful questions to those foster-parents before taking them away (itself quite disturbing for foster children and deeply upsetting to the foster-parents, both sides in the process of bonding)? If not, then theiy should be investigated.

Terry and Nigel Farage may well be deeply concerned for the welfare of these kids, but then again maybe not. It’s the fate of the children, not the fate of UKIP, which concerns most of us.

Scep I touched on the fact as to why would they want to foster the children in question if they were racist….from the short extract Mrs T gave I made my comments

The fate of the children depends on the social services and their decision making.

If they keep using people who – like you – don’t have much of a clue and rely on prejudice then we’re in big trouble.

I can’t find your answer to Mrs T, but I did notice that you’d touched on that queston, Ms K of Dartford lol You were one of several who put some intelligent points and questions – and I hope you don’t get too snarled in Terry’s little games.

I’ve not seen any answers, that’s all.

As I say, the more important question concerns the reaction of the Council. Did they question the parents, or did they shoot first?

My limited knowledge of the choice of foster parents is that the process is very rigorous – a lot of willing foster-parents are often left disappointed.

So these parents must have been right – except for their views about multiculturalism. Did the council question them and judge that their views would get in the way of caring, or what?

    Just seems strange.

Lol @ Dartford. It’s ok, I won’t be far away. When Terry deports you, he might get lost in the Dartford One Way system and never emerge from it again. :D

Scep I asked the questions but have no answers…I was asking because from the short snippet Mrs T gave us the story seems bizarre precisely by the questions one can ask from it..
I stand by what I said earlier….with what I know of the UKIP Party and my own experiences.

The story, big, breaking news headlines yesterday, seems to have disappeared off the front pages of Sky and the BBC news text service.
