    I’m quite partial to a tilde but mildy addicted to ellipsis…I’m trying to kick the exclamation mark habit though…

    Words and phrases such as;

    ‘nom nom’ and ‘sleeps’ are all very well and will establish the user as a trendy person who you should invite to your Christmas get together.

    But what about the word ‘munch’ as a substitute for the word ‘delicious’? Would you invite someone who kept using ‘munch’ to your party or would you just punch him in the mouth?

    I don’t mind any of the above … But I’ve heard people say … Munchies which I find funny! As in ‘ I’ve got the munchies ! I’m hungry and I’m snacking !

    It’s the word trendy that grates !

    I use the word “minnow” as a written colloquialism in an informal setting for “me know,” which as you may or not know is West Indian dialect.

    I talk properly when @ work although with a London accent, but when in a social setting I have a lazy London accent which is a bit of rhyming slang and colloquialisms, a bit of Jamaican patrois and words of the moment with “munch” being one of them to mean something tasted good.

    Do I care?

    No, I don’t. People either like me for who I am or they don’t.

    In some search engines, the tilde ~ (shift with the # key) forces the upper or lower case sensitivity.
