An 18 yr old young man braved the snow to leave his last rolo on the doorstep of his 17 yr old sweethearts doorstep
33 yrs later……30 yrs of marriage and 3 kids ….she still has it wrapped in its original and has placed it in a beautiful wooden box
How lovely is that….she told herself she would never eat it and on Valentine’s Day takes it into work to show her colleagues

When i was 19 my gf at the time was nearly 18.We had been seeing each other for a year and she had told me on many times how she wanted 18 red roses on her birthday. So i ordered them but she finished with me 2 days before she was 18.On the night of her 18th party i turned up with the roses and gave them to her in front of all her family and friends.As i turned away i took 1 rose from the bunch of 18 and said to her thats for the year of my life you wasted and walked away.I really did think she was the one !! Strange thing is we still live in the same town and see each other every now and again but never speak. Hurt isnt the word

Never hold grudges, Grudges are for those who insist that they are owed something, forgiveness, however, is for those who are substantial enough to move on.To be wronged is nothing, unless you continue to remember it when you hold a grudge, you want someone else’s sorrow to reflect your level of hurt but the two rarely meet.
Not quite a Valentine tale but when I was young I had a major crush on somebody and used to gaze lovingly at them out my bedroom window (spy on them) while they played in the park right outside. My father was extremely strict and we had to be in by six. I met her years later when I was a big butch biker all leather and tattoos and I said to her “I used to have a right crush on you” and right in front of my hairy arxsed biker mates she laughed and said “I used to see you peeping out your bedroom window”. She was still gorgeous but unfortunately married to a soldier. I had the p*ss ripped out of me for years by my mates and even today some still call me “Tom” not my name btw (peeping Tom).
yes ive got one i met my first true love at the council tip,she died last year
so ive wrote a poem about her called
love at the tip
it was amongst the broken bottles and cans,i found my first true love
she was rooting about in the skips,looking as pretty as the sky above
I “said what you looking for”
she said “im looking for a dress cos im going out tonight and i dont want to go out in any auld shite”
i told her id found a size 10 dress earlier,she looked at me in gleee
but you can have it on one condition and thats tonight you come out with me
she looked at me and said ohh i dunno i have got my pride,i tell youwhat let me go home try on the dress then i will decide
seeing id already fell in love with her i trusted her,so i asked her to meet me outside the high rise flats,when she said yes i was so happy i went down to the river to shoot me some rats

when i met her that night she was looking ever so elegant wearing her dress,that id found it on the tip that morning nobody would ever guesss
weell we were going steady now and we used to root in the skips together,but one day we had an argument over some scrap,she told me never to see her again..ever
i was broken hearted as i carried my scrap home that night,that girl to me was everything,if i didnt get her back life wasnt worth living
er was drifting slowly into autumn i spotted her looking for magic mushrooms in the park.i pleaded with her to come back to me she said oh i dunno…ok then mark
well weve been married now 3 years and on our anniversaries we visit different tips,and we take our little son along to root in the skips
and as me and the wife hold hands in the beatwaste together,what i hope my son will find is a beautiful tip girl like i found mine

Sweet story Tom….I mean SHR x
I had a crush on a boy when I was at school….he went to the boys school across the road ..me the girls school….I fancied him from a far for ages and ages….used to walk past his house in the hope of a tiny glimpse….and his house wasn’t near mine!…used to have to make all sorts of excuses to my mum just so I could leave the house
Anyway one day he miraculously asked me to meet him in the alley near the school (he probably thought she might stop stalking me)….anyway took me about 4 messages from him to finally go and meet him as I was always scared my brothers (who went to the same school) would find me in the alley and kill me!….I finally made it one day…borrowed my friends lip gloss as I wasn’t allowed to own any make up myself….went to the alley…he was really sweet and was talking normal…..then he asked for a kiss I got so embarrassed and said I have to go so I ran back to school….
After that…I avoided walking past his house like the bloody plague
