I was thinking more abstractly when I asked that question, abuse based on a characteristic you don’t consciously choose seems to be pretty much the same to me. The effect of the abuse is the same regardless if its because of race, sexuality or something else.

I have actually recieved ‘racist’ comments before, but I just laughed at them. Mostly because they were made under the assumption that I was Mexican, which i’m not.
