22 June, 2007 at 3:42 pm #273529I was walking out of the grocery store yesterday and saw a young man (maybe 16) walking into the store. This boy had his jeans hanging below butt, hat turned and a wife beater T on. He honestly looked like a complete moron. The fact that he was grabbing his crotch to hold his drawers up didn’t help him much. So perhaps this law is to prevent a “Wardrobe Mis-function”.
And just out of curiosity, what does our “Right to Bear Arms” have anything to do with a wardrobe anyway?22 June, 2007 at 3:32 pm #274334:-k
Does anybody know where the term “Drunk as a Skunk” came from?

You actually raise a good point- todays parents (n Ive got 4 kids) were the generation brought up in the 70’s and 80’s- if it falls to ALL parents (and there are some who see parenting as a lifelong job with no financial reward and will try to do their best for their kids), then we are doomed cos a large minority of parents wouldnt know how to talk to their kids let alone engage in meaningful discussions about sex, contraception, emotions and hormones!
First Slayer, you have my condolences of the loss of your mother.
I am one of three sisters. I am the only one that waited to have sex until after high school. We all had the same discussion with our mom, but just because we had “the talk” doesn’t mean that we all made the same decision. We are all individuals and my mother is a strict Roman Catholic. She taught morality and respect for ourselves, but her talks effected us differently. I just think you should give you children the tools to keep themselves healthy. Their lives are worth it. Inevitably, they will do what they want to do. And, you may never if what they are telling you they do is the truth or not.
21 June, 2007 at 1:56 pm #274212Kids are having sex at earlier ages now then 20 years ago. We can of course preach to them about abstinence and morality, but they will most likely fall into the peer pressure of having sex before they are mentally ready to handle it. There are no side effects of having this vaccination, so the benefits out weigh the risk. As a society, we’re not as moral as we should be. We should still encourage moral behavior as well as responsible behavior. We are responsible for our children’s health and well being. If giving the vaccination would potentially save kids from cancer, them I’m for it. I’ve seen cancer first hand and if it can be prevented by a simple stick of a needle, why not save lives and suffering by doing it? Just ask anybody who’s had cancer.

They have their saddlebags/love handles spilling out all over the top of them. Spare tyres round their middles and nine times out of ten, a bloody thong sticking out of the waistband of their jeans. They nearly always have their hair tied back in a really severe ponytail as well. Why is that..to made them look “well ard”?. More often than not they are also pushing a pushchair with a youngster who has a dummy hanging out of it,s face, and a bottle of milk with it whinging it,s head off. Mum isn,t paying attention because she has a fag hanging out of her gob and her mobile phone in the other hand, frantically sending bloody texts! ffs. :
Why didn’t you come over and say hello Bat? I didn’t realize that you were visiting my side of the globe!
