Line of Duty, Broadchurch, The Walking Dead and I’m in the middle of watching Lost.

Love Scandal but didn’t know about the spin off from The Good Wife, so thanks for the Lady Kenters.

My ‘go to’ channel is the Food Network. I want to be Pioneer Woman

Having just taken a quick look at another thread (can ‘t remember the name of it, but you’ll know which one I mean), I think the answer to the question is a resounding ‘yes’.

Isn’t it interesting how people can read the same text, yet interpret it completely differently.

Had quite a decent conversation tonight, seems us blokes don’t have it as tough as women on this site, (I agree) are men more nasty then women online and why, if so?

I’m not sure it’s that women have it any harder than men online. Maybe some are just an easier target?

For me it’s more about the abuser than the abusee. Once an abuser finds the soft spot of any abusee, they can prod and poke until the abusee is all but flayed publicly.

Is the majority of abuse male to female? I don’t think so. Male to female and female to female is a relatively equal split I think, but I’m not sure about the ratio of female to male.

What does constantly surprise me though, is the depth of vitriol often on display, be it from male or female.

Good thread topic moosey i would say some people do yes but lots of times it’s genuine chit chat…genuine follow on from conversations in the room……someone mentions work…another asks what they do and so forth…..someone mentions an MOT….and another might ask what car they drive ans so forth its the bitchy few….that will pick this conversation up twist it and turn it into something it’s not…..i.e. Bragging….showing offf but it’s ok for the bitchy few to mention the exact same things and it’s acceptable all boils down to who says what to how it’s accepted

That is so very true. One lovely chatter (and I mean that sincerely, she is lovely) will mention the latest cruise she’s been on and that she’s booked her next break. Others in the room will comment on how lovely that is and can they go with her next time. Someone else mentions a holiday and it’s totally turned on its head. Accused of boasting about how much money they have etc.

Nowt as queer as folk…

**Sorry Moosey…seem to have gone off piste there a bit…

I think most of us been bitten by giving too much away at one time or another, but it’s a lesson quickly learned.

I’m sure many will remember Mrs Teapot’s thread about her experience.

Hers wasn’t in the room, it was with someone she believed she could trust and the conversation(s) took place in pm.

It’s so very difficult to know when to trust and when not to. I’ve been fortunate and made a couple of good friends from here who are now part of my offline life.

Would I do that now? Very probably not.

As the original poster quite rightly says,  all manner of things can be said in innocence only to be regurgitated with a completely different light shone upon them.

    Hey folks….let’s be careful out there…. B-)

well i’m new to this site and i can say that the frequency with which people think that you’re looking for sex in some way after misinterpreting something not even slightly sexual is rather infuriating, and also that most people in the chat rooms seem to be rather bitter towards newcomers

Don’t waste your time; only pervs and muppets on this site.

You do realise that you’re on this site too, don’t you….

I had a fear of mittens.

I thought that if I wore them too long my fingers would fuse together and I’d be left with penguin like flippers at the end of my hands.

When I was a child, my grandad told me that when I had pins and needles in my hand or foot I should spit on my fingers and rub the inside of my elbow (for my hand) or the back of my knee (for my foot) and it would make the pins and needles go away…

It didn’t dawn on me until I was in my late 30s (when I had pins and needles and found myself still doing it) that it was an absolute load of old tosh..

Yet even now, I still do it. And it still works!!
