Aha !!! I see light at the end of the tunnel. You have some admiration for the Queen. God bless you my dear. I wouldn’t be so bold as to say that makes you a Royalist but I think we do agree she has been a beacon of inspiration in the decades she has been on the throne, in her palaces, and estates. Of course, it is Her Majesty’s Government isn’t it. We (well, I for one) elect the Government and her weekly sitreps makes sure the PM doesn’t stray from the straight and narrow otherwise she would have them over her knee! We can’t elect the Monarch because that is a royal blood/succession thing but we can elect the people we want to do the hand’s on stuff. It’s not perfect but as you say, it’s the best we have. Of course, being an academic, you’ll remember we had a bit of a Civil War to sort all that out – you know, Parliament – treating people as equals – giving them the vote – and then of course the Suffragettes who died fighting to get women the vote. Most of it, especially human rights stems from the Magna Carta. It’s in my local cathedral. Fascinating read. You’ll know that as well of course. And I won’t bore you with how my Dad fought in the war, a war that came so close to you speaking German.
So, lets consider ourselves lucky that we were born in a reasonably decent society where we are free to express an opinion and not one such as North Korea or god forbid, Saudi Arabia where your female rights would be a bit restricted.

Hmmm….there’s food for thought. Your suggestion that people don’t know who or what they’re voting for is a rather sweeping generalism and I would have thought, a tad insulting to the person in the street. The closest to home examples I know of who proclaim themselves as Civic Nationalists are the SNP, Plaid Cymru and Mebyon Kernow ( good ol’ Cornwall!). Of course, they have to endure some sort of democratic process to elect their leaders to implement policy etc etc. I hope you find that a necessary evil unless you think that should happen through some sort of organic, thought sharing system that doesn’t involve leadership at all?
Nah…i put my hands up. You’re gonna have to help me out on that one?
And as to your trusted news and information sources? Would you like to take a punt at those please?
linda, get some sleep. I’d like your considerations when you’re fresh and properly rested. I always get grumpy when i’m tired so don’t get emotional over your thoughts. If you’re working hard for your family then that’s more important than a lively debate with a Londoner.

Before the president took the stage, his personal lawyer Rudolph W. Giuliani addressed the crowd and called for “trial by combat” against the Democrats to win the election. (trial by combat drac…hey girl..do you know the meaning of combat???)

You’ll notice drac that when Trump said “we” he of course didn’t mean that – he went to his bunker while his troops did the trashing.
Then after the Capitol was invaded – Biden appealed to him to get on TV and demand his cultists leave the building.
Trump then put out a video asking his followers to go home… with his love.
Those are the facts – a few of which you have conveniently left out. If you want to contribute properly to this debate – get your story straight.
And if you want me to trash your other 9 points, you only have to ask.
