But I’m not sure I like JK Rowling anymore.
I read today that she has donated £1,000,000 to the Labour Party.
She says that most under privileged families in this country will benefit from a Brown government than a Cameron-led one.
When you consider how much damage this government has done to the country I find it hard to believe that Rowling should support them in any way whatsoever.
Why support any political party?
They’ve all got their snouts in the trough.Labour are currently £17,800,000 in debt so her donation will be wisely spent then.
Personally, I’d like to see all politicians being scrutinised for their true worth to this country.
Then I’d line them up against a wall, next to Harry Potter, and have them shot.Rant over
I’d say read Shazzers post ,,,,,,,,, before making any hard and fast decisions about any of them.
Still,,,,,,,,,,they do say don’t they, theres more out than in :wink: :lol: :lol:
cas,
at the end of the day politicians are top of the food chain and a law unto themselves.
They don’t deserve our respect.
Even at local council level they are fiddling their expenses – an issue that my local newspaper headlined recently.Read Richard Littlejohn’s Britain and you’ll never trust another one of them again.
Ever.READ RICHARD LITTLEJOHN? The Daily Fascist’s finest..you’re ‘avin a larf, matey.
And if you think this shower presently in Gvt are bad, just wait until Cameron gets his noncey ar.se through the doors of number Ten. We’ll look back on these as the good old days.
Gordon Brown has had a hard deal, inheriting Blair’s shi.tfest which was in turn a legacy of the Thatcher years.
As for the Rowling wummin..she’s entitled to put her cash wherever she pleases..at least she has a social conscience..albeit regarded as misplaced by those and such as those!20 September, 2008 at 3:00 pm #357484This ballad is a variant of The Three Ravens which dates back to 1611 where it appears in Melismata. Musicall Phansies Fitting the Court, Cittie, and Countrey Humours by T. Ravenscroft.
Corbie is another word for raven or crow.THE TWA CORBIES
As I was walking all alane,
I heard twa corbies making a mane;
The tane unto the t’other say,
‘Where sall we gang and dine to-day,
Where sall we gang and dine to-day?’‘In behint yon auld fail dyke,
I wot there lies a new slain knight;
And naebody kens that he lies there,
But his hawk, his honnd, and lady fair,
His hawk, his honnd, and lady fair.‘His hound is to the hunting gane,
His hawk to fetch the wild-fowl hame,
His lady ‘a ta’en another mate,
So we may mak our dinner sweet,
We may mak our dinner sweet.‘Ye’ll sit on his white hause-bane,
And I’ll pike out his bonny blue een;
Wi ae lock o his gowden hair
We’ll theek our nest when it grows bare,
We’ll theek our nest when it grows bare.’‘Mony a one for him makes mane,
But nane sall ken where he is gane;
Oer his white banes, when they are bare,
The wind sail blaw for evennair,
The wind sail blaw for evennair.’

My youngest cat just did a yawn and miaw at the same time to get my attention for food, then went to jump on the pc and keyboard (he does this a lot and presses the keys… if its not a cat its a parrot lol), but completely mis-judged the pc tower and slipped back down…
I just love the way a cat reacts when they make a mistake, its undescribable but bloody funny :lol:
Oh I know the look..it’s a mixture of indignant bluster and huh..I couldn’t care less.

19 September, 2008 at 11:58 pm #363226Journey – Who’s Crying Now
It’s been a mystery and still they try to see
Why somethin’ good can hurt so bad
Caught on a one-way street, the taste of bittersweet
Love will survive somehow, some wayOne love feeds the fire
One heart burns desire
I wonder, who’s cryin’ now
Two hearts born to run
Who’ll be the lonely one
I wonder, who’s cryin’ nowSo many stormy nights, so many wrongs or rights
Neither could change their headstrong ways
And in a lover’s rage, they tore another page
The fightin’ is worth the love they save…(chorus)
Only so many tears you can cry
‘Til the heartache is over
And now you can say your love
Will never die(chorus)

I’d have to invite pete because that way I know I wouldn’t finish last.
I kinda have an idea what pete’d do.
And that’s good because I like beans on toast with brown sauce. mmmm.
And then strawberry flavoured angel delight with a chocolate flake. :wink:
A definite winner pete me old mucker.I’m not sure what I’d make – that would depend on whether the guests were vegetarian or not and I’m pretty sure I’d invite pebbles (a veggie) along for the craic with pete.
That would only leave one other guest ffs.
It’d have to be between sharon, bon bon and sian.
Now that would be a toughie.
If it was sharon there’d be some good footie convo.
With bon bon I’d probably be inhaling some waccy baccy.
At least with sian I’d have someone to make me breakfast. :Pwe will all come
you and pete can prepare the meal then wash up
sian, pebbles, sharon and I shall get drunk and have a giggleIn that case..consider your invite to my banquet..rescinded! Big time! :twisted:
Quite a jealous little madam really arent you Esme :lol:
Yeah if you say so..after all..not being invited to the imaginary dinner party of a bunch of posters having a laugh and a joke and throwing a blatantly recognisably spoof hissy-fit is obviously the mark of a woman deranged with envy. Clever you for spotting it.
You got bored with stalking Pete? :wink: :wink:19 September, 2008 at 4:55 pm #373091@bon bon wrote:
