Well I am still none the wiser (even though I appear to be better informed).

If “waddacks” are an anatomical reference and I’m supposed to have big ones – then so be it. Guess I’ll simply have to live with it eh?

If only I knew what “waddacks” were …. i could assume a position of outraged indignation.

The best bit was telling me that my internal IP was 127.0.0.1 – maybe they could have added the subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 just for good measure eh?

again..no way did Doa type that…its way too smart for him…also, the fact that he cant spell Brighton, even though he lives there and managed to spell it correctly in his profile, is a dead giveaway.

    does it matter?
hes actually made a sensible post

Exactly right. Why not focus on the subject matter of the post rather than its grammatical style.

Yes I noticed this as well Mary. Hopefully it will not end up as yet another Government “initiative” designed to catch the headlines and sink into oblivion after only a few short months.

This whole field of cyber or internet bullying is becoming more and more high profile these days and for those of us involved with “safeguarding” children, the concept of them being bullied via mobile texts; social networking sites; and internet chatrooms and message boards etc is getting to be quite a worry.

Problem is that there is a very fine line indeed between relatively harmless “banter” or someone expressing a controversial view and comments deliberately intended to hurt or belittle somebody or intended to be intentionally offensive.

I love that line in Cool Hand Luke when the prison commandante says: “What we have here is failure to communicate” in an extraordinary Southern accent – it made the whole film for me.

Oh and the fantastic song that “Luke” sings to himself when he learns of his mother’s death

“Don’t care if it rains or freezes, got myself a plastic Jusus, hanging on the dasboard of my car ……” etc

Incredibly moving – what a talent the man had.

I agree wholeheartedly. He spent a larg part of his life quietly giving help and succour to those that needed it most. Didn’t make a big production about it …. he just got on and helped others.

A fine man and one whose memory will remain with lots of people for a long long time.
