£247 is about the norm if you choose a half decent frame, wear variofocals and have the anti-scratch coating…the last time I went to Specsavers and they offered me the 2 for 1 deal I said I didn’t need 2 pairs, could they just do the one pair at half price please? This seemed to confuse them for some reason…
…and my specs are blue and green like your siggy…I got them from the optician, I didn’t steal them, honest! :shock:
That’s 6 more than there have been recently :D
Just a thought but if everyone who says they miss f2 actually went in there, it would soon be thriving again.

I would hazard a guess that when an account was deleted and their posts disappeared that caused the thread to shrink a little…but it’s just a guess.

It’s the Cookie Monster from Sesame Street, known for his love of cookies and saying “Me want cookie!”, “Me eat cookie!”, and “nom nom nom” with a mouth full of cookies…sitting in front of the computer screen horror struck at the thought of the option to “Delete cookies”…

Back in the 90s I met a lovely German couple while on a hiking holiday in Austria. He had spent a couple of years in London when he was in his late teens and had fond memories of the UK and the hospitality but she had never been. He practised his English on us, I practised my German on them. We got on well and they took us out for the day in their car, taking in a beauty spot that could only be reached by car or a very expensive coach trip and also across into Germany where they treated us to dinner – we only had Austrian schillings, no Deutsch marks. On their last day we said our goodbyes and I said I would send them a gift from England to say thank you – her eyes lit up and she said “Princess Diana!” (this ws before she died). They were great fans of Princess Diana and she asked me to send a hardback book that wasn’t available in Germany…well that made coming up with something “English” easy! I guess now the equivalent would be a book about Prince William and Kate…
