Seriously though, hope you’re not cut off for too long. It’s finally stopped raining here and the sun has come out…for the moment anyway.
I’ve just remembered our school trip to Holland…we were on the coach to return home and a teacher asked if everyone had bought a present for their parents to say thank you for sending them on the trip. Needless to say, several (mainly boys for some reason) hadn’t so the coach stopped at a shop selling whole Edam cheeses. Back onto the bus they trooped, clutching their whole Edams, grinning and boasting that at least their presents were obviously Dutch. Just before we boarded the ferry, one of the lads took the tissue off his Edam only to find that the sticker saying what it was also said “Made in Cardiff, S. Wales”. Much hilarity about their “obviously Dutch” gifts that were made just 30 miles down the road from home! :lol:
Sounds like an amalgamation of absconding and abduction!
Ahhhhhh….maybe if I read newspapers that post wouldn’t have gone whoosh over the top of my head :lol:
