Pats has freely admitted to cut and pasting to someone and gives her reasons for it. Pats, I assume you asked permission and were given it.

In response to my original questions, there were some very definite…”I would delete anyone who did it” comments (which I too have done). And people have been equally outraged by people even reading msn conversations to others on the phone. So it is an emotive subject.

But maybe it isn’t the act of cut and pasting that is the problem. Perhaps it is the intent behind it. Also perhaps the main problem with cut and pasting is that comments can be taken out of context. We know how good the newspapers are at misrepresenting what somone has said to them in an interview.

Is it ever okay to cut and paste?
