which is where hugs gets it wrong. Hugs calls anyone who disagrees with him a troll. maybe sometimes they are but a lot of the time they just disagree ! it is still allowed to voice an opinion in disagreement, just, though with so many snowflakes nowadays, feeling it is their job to feel outraged and offended on ‘behalf’ of others I don’t think it will be long before anyone voicing an opinion is labelled in a derogatory manner. hate snowflakes !!! except in winter

I guess so, my take on it is they will just take the opposite view to anything you type in order to provoke or prolong a disagreement. Or they can just target someone and be vile and bullying for no other reason than they get a kick out of it. I’m sure others can define it better than me

Some do it in a very ‘polite’ manner … they are still trolls though. I do believe one such as this has had yet another identity banned
Well I’ll assume you meant the ‘internet’ version of trolling and not the fishing one.
Trolling – (verb), as it relates to internet, is the deliberate act, (by a Troll – noun or adjective), of making random unsolicited and/or controversial comments on various internet forums with the intent to provoke an emotional knee jerk reaction from unsuspecting readers to engage in a fight or argument
Which is where Hugs gets it wrong all the time. People are allowed to disagree with an opinion and voice it without being a Troll. There is a difference. Trolls don’t have an opinion, they just say what they need to, to provoke a reaction.

If memory serves me correctly she ( Sophie) had to choose between her son or her daughter to be sent to the gas chamber or they would both be killed, she chose her daughter to be gassed. Could humans be more cruel ? When people say ” they are behaving like animals”, they do animals a disservice. Animals are never so utterly cruel….. and no she couldn’t live with it as she ends up committing suicide. Who could ? Not me.

Martin please remove this thread. although well intentioned it has become monopolised once again and any good intention removed, I take responsibility in part for responding. Someone else start a similar thread, we may actually get further. Thanks .

This is my last post on the matter. It is childish in my opinion, I stated I started the Book thread to get away from the constant lectures over Brexit and Trump. I stopped posting on those threads. I had hoped to divert thinking and try something fresh. You immediately posted in a patronising manner ( IN MY OPINION ). I ask you to not direct any posts to me and you say, effectively , ” I will if I want to and you can’t stop me , get hugs to call the police, etc etc ” I repeat, childish. I didn’t call you a turd, I called you a patronising turd. Don’t think everyone is as stupid as you would like to believe,’ I’ve done nothing to you ? ‘ Yes you have !!. You have misquoted me in a patronising manner and got it totally wrong, and not apologised or even responded, you misquote lots of people and get the wrong end of the stick. You are happy to bleat about others but take no responsibility for your own mistakes and assumptions. You have given out information about me, nothing drastic, which I asked you to stop doing. No response. Don’t act like an innocent victim here being abused as you do with Ge, you are passively aggressive and condescending constantly and anyone who reads these boards can see it, so acting all holier than thou won’t wash in my opinion. You have continued this direct assault towards me on this thread. If you love talking about books why didn’t you just start a thread on it. Yes its a public message board, no I don’t want you banned. Yes I would like no further discussion with you. I stand by my statements and I’m pretty sure you’ve been called worse than an aggressive turd. Lastly I did not pour scorn ( only you could say that) on any dealings you have had with mental health. I was in fact pointing out that most people have to deal with people with mental health issues, either professionally or personally, or both ( IT’S VERY COMMON !!!) and they do not feel the need to try and impress others for doing so. Sorry if that point wasn’t made clear. In my opinion you are becoming the caricature of yourself you so often deny.
