I agree !! Thank god for janeylou ! I immediately put down my iced water in favour of sugar filled crap that dehydrates you , put the fan back in the cupboard and locked the dog in the car to keep it out of the sun !!!

anyone who even thinks of walking a dog midday, taking them in cars and leaving them for even 5 minutes needs shooting !! Overheating is a truly horrible and painful death !! Keep them shaded, I throw mine in the shower a few times, or hose them down ! if you have to wear a fur coat make it a cool wet one ! Dog lovers know all this shit so sorry, but ppl never cease to amaze, as this thread proves !

Milkman, No I don’t. Ppl can change their mind , the more people write, the more you see what they are like etc , it’s not set in stone and it’s not a test or at least I didn’t think it was a test, you can’t change your opinion based on new info ? My opinion of you Milky has changed over the last few months … it’s not a crime is it ?? I don’t think morg writes like that at all now actually, and the writing has changed, evolved from the first thread

There was a similar US politician in the 1930s called Huey long. Famous for going into the gents in a nightclub and being so impatient he peed between the legs of the man on the urinal. There is a pic, I believe, of him emerging from the nightclub with a black eye.
Long was elected a Governor of his state on the promise to reduce taxes. The first thing he did was to raise taxes. When his adviser asked what they would say to the people, he responded,”Simple. Tell ’em I lied”.
But, like long, Johnson was and will be hated because of the effects on ordinary people of what he does. The knowing grin will make him all the more hated.
One thing is for sure. If he means what he says, and he’ll be destroyed if he doesn’t, then this will all come to a spectacular head in a couple of months time. Determination or blind optimism? I doubt very much that t will end on halloween
