Lnda, do you know what ? I think you are probably a very caring person, who genuinely thinks that advice born from experience is helpful and supportive and in a lot of cases I’m sure it is well received, HOWEVER, don’t you think that the sheer amount of vitriol , mean-ness you have both displayed to each other ( mizzy possibly meaner in general ) just undermines the sentiment well intentioned or not ? Put aother way , maybe despite any sympathy you may have for ( any ) woman grieving the loss of a baby , not commenting would be better ? I just think that someone in a vulnerable and emotional state may not feel that the sentiments are real and well meant , specifically because of such highly charged and quite cutting exchanges between you both, they may in fact, take them as totally insincere and therefore just inflame the situation. I’m sure your feelings are real and with good intent but maybe now and then saying nothing would be beneficial . Something that could possibly be seen as Ridiculing someone’s loss ( which I know you weren’t at all ) will only make for further misunderstanding, mistrust and hatred

shes obviously being sarcastic and facetious towards the poster !! You may not like the term she’s uses but she makes you sick because of that word yet she was the person who lost her baby ? And it OBVIOUSLY has effected her deeply. Like her or loathe her no one deserves to lose a child that way, I’m sure she knows only too well how precious a baby is , she isn’t the devil incarnate fgs !! Less Am Dram needed surely …

Jimmy Webb wrote this work-song back in 1968. Thank you Linda for a detailed post, it is late and I will re read tomorrow to try harder to digest it more , however I must say it does make me chuckle ( in a way ) this idea you have that our language and cultures need explaining to US !! Lol. Linda coming out the closet is not an “ old expression “ THERE, lol it’s not an old expression anywhere. If you want some ‘ old expressions ‘ I’ll dig some up, derived from Saxon or earlier language lol. Most of your ‘ expressions ‘ come from our expressions lol We aren’t a backward country catching on to you lol and rarely need interpretations , although I appreciate you always ask people to clarify what some of our old expressions mean, as they are sometimes confusing to yourself Always best to be clear isn’t it.
