This weekend will see approximately 20+ meteors in the sky every hour. The peak time to look into the sky will be from Sunday midnight to 3am.
The meteors are the debris coming from Halley’s Comet, a Comet which is only visible from Earth every 75 years. The last time Halley’s Comet was visible was in 1986, with the next viewing to be in 2061.

Darkness is coming, already begun,
Colder and darker, hour by hour,
Air turning cold, bitter and bold,
Red sky Ophelia, what a phenomenon,
Maybe some snow, bring the country to hold,

I agree, it can seem like some people have all the luck in the world and some not. I look at the bigger picture if I ever think I am unlucky with anything though, like for example people starving in the world, no access to water, people sleeping on the streets.
