The bible never actually describes heaven this way, the literal interpretation of Heaven is a multi-coloured lightning storm filled with 100 eyed lions and 4 headed angels. It’s pretty weird.

Historical images of heaven are more similar to what is described :

(Although this image seems to depict the Firmament, not Heaven itself)

    Edit:

    Then they aren’t Christian.

If heaven doesn’t exist, then none of Christianity makes any sense.

Some Christians argue God is dead lol… how can they be Christian then? You are just cherry picking what you find plausible and labelling it Christian whilst ignoring the rest. You can’t simply ignore things you don’t agree with central to Christianity and call yourself a Christian.

Pascal’s Wager falls apart when you consider there is more than one possible god to worship, and many possible religions in which to worship them through.

I saw the film, thought it was wonderful…

Only a fool would deny that Hawkins was a genius.

His research, his tenacity, his theories, his brilliance will be remembered long after we are all gone.

As a side note.. his last two wives were Christian.

(Rude… 40% of scientists believe in God. I will find the source for that but saw it somewhere)

I’ve read you properly, you are posting cheap shots on his appearance in some kind of effort to gain credibility asking posters to sum up his extremely complex work on a JC chat board.  The only person putting up pictures of his appearance and ” scrunched up features/ teeth ” is you.

Quite pathetic you are ridiculing the appearance of someone with a disability but then as usual you get ripped apart in any serious debate and deviate off at a tangent talking crap again.

This post is contradictory , you state you are living on the assumption there is no afterlife but claim to be a Christian? If you aren’t “orthodox ” in these basic views then by definition you can’t be a Christian.

Complete and utter rubbish, where do you get these erroneous facts from or are they just conjured up out of thin air?

The National Academy of Science charted belief in God as low as 5.5 percent among biologists and 7.5 percent among physicist and astronomers in a 1998 study.
