    It’s Bloomsday again people!

And they beheld him in the chariot, clothed upon in the glory of the brightness, having raiment as of the sun, fair as the moon and terrible that for awe they durst not look upon Him. And there came a voice out of heaven, calling: Elijah ! Elijah ! And he answered them with a main cry: Abba ! Adonai ! And they beheld Him even Him, ben Bloom Elijah, amid clouds of angels ascend to the glory of the brightness at an angle of fortyfive degrees over Donahoe’s in Little Green Street like a shot off a shovel. “

    my father moved through dooms of love

    my father moved through dooms of love
    through sames of am through haves of give,
    singing each morning out of each night
    my father moved through depths of height

    this motionless forgetful where
    turned at his glance to shining here;
    that if(so timid air is firm)
    under his eyes would stir and squirm

    newly as from unburied which
    floats the first who,his april touch
    drove sleeping selves to swarm their fates
    woke dreamers to their ghostly roots

    and should some why completely weep
    my father’s fingers brought her sleep:
    vainly no smallest voice might cry
    for he could feel the mountains grow.

    Lifting the valleys of the sea
    my father moved through griefs of joy;
    praising a forehead called the moon
    singing desire into begin

    joy was his song and joy so pure
    a heart of star by him could steer
    and pure so now and now so yes
    the wrists of twilight would rejoice

    keen as midsummer’s keen beyond
    conceiving mind of sun will stand,
    so strictly(over utmost him
    so hugely) stood my father’s dream

    his flesh was flesh his blood was blood:
    no hungry man but wished him food;
    no cripple wouldn’t creep one mile
    uphill to only see him smile.

    Scorning the Pomp of must and shall
    my father moved through dooms of feel;
    his anger was as right as rain
    his pity was as green as grain

    septembering arms of year extend
    yes humbly wealth to foe and friend
    than he to foolish and to wise
    offered immeasurable is

    proudly and(by octobering flame
    beckoned)as earth will downward climb,
    so naked for immortal work
    his shoulders marched against the dark

    his sorrow was as true as bread:
    no liar looked him in the head;
    if every friend became his foe
    he’d laugh and build a world with snow.

    My father moved through theys of we,
    singing each new leaf out of each tree
    (and every child was sure that spring
    danced when she heard my father sing)

    then let men kill which cannot share,
    let blood and flesh be mud and mire,
    scheming imagine,passion willed,
    freedom a drug that’s bought and sold

    giving to steal and cruel kind,
    a heart to fear,to doubt a mind,
    to differ a disease of same,
    conform the pinnacle of am

    though dull were all we taste as bright,
    bitter all utterly things sweet,
    maggoty minus and dumb death
    all we inherit,all bequeath

    and nothing quite so least as truth
    –i say though hate were why men breathe–
    because my Father lived his soul
    love is the whole and more than all

    if at the end they are still level – on points, goal average, goals scored, penalties, free kicks conceded, yellow cards, red cards, corners won and the tossed coin lands on its edge in the grass – if after all that they are still level, then UEFA Rule 792 applies: –

    ” Each manager will be inspected for quality of dental treatment, hair comb-over and general umbrella-holding ability until a winner is found. “

    As for youre original comment Toy about this place being unbelievable did you really expect anything else?

    A 100 replies and fifteen hundred plus views in just over 24 hours ? Great work PB ! Putting a thread up called “SUDDEN DEATH IN FORUM 3” ?? That’s positively inspired – give that man a pay rise immediately !!

    Oh I think I know what to expect thanks Cath………and as Sharon said earlier this is a very creepy thread.

    I was in 40s room last Tuesday evening chatting to sunny, Pats, Katee, others. Someone called blonde55 was there announcing that her friend was very seriously ill in hospital and not expected to last the night. As I can recall (and I was popping back and forth while cooking grub at the time) everyone expressed sympathy but there was more than a little head-scratching as the name Page did not seem that familiar.

    Nobody got off their death bed to log in for a jolly evening of chat-fun. The trouble with these sites is that it can take one misunderstanding, or even a simple spelling mistake for others to spout off on countless mistaken tangents.

    Anyway, sunny started to talk football and was immediately told by blonde55 to show some respect. Sunny mentioned quite rightly that she had already said sorry about someone she didn’t know and what was she supposed to do – keep repeating it all night ? Others agreed. The chatter who was upset stayed around for a bit then left. World War 3 did not begin nor did hell break loose as has been posted for a little myth-making.

    I do remember that Pats had a look in lobby and reported back that blonde55 was still banging on about it in there, and quite frankly causing more confusion; she also provided some more information to help us all out. Of course you make allowances in these situations, and thats what people did. Sorry for mentioning names but that’s how I saw it all.

    My point is that this thread is entirely inappropriate and reflects very poorly on site admin. It completely fails the humour test and I agree that the whole thing should be DELETED. The original poster (PillockBrain?) deliberately set a tone for others to pick up on and for what looks like very dubious reasons. Gladly, most of us ancients in F3 know something about illness and loss and how to behave accordingly, and there are quite a few regulars who have the dignity and good sense to keep their health issues away from public view. I do vaguely remember Page from the rooms and she can hardly be blamed for having had rather more important considerations recently, nor from keeping PB personally informed and from making idiotic statements.

    to blonde55, again, I am sorry for the loss of your friend
