mate of mine was working in Saudi for a week. Everything was arranged by a big german company, including the instruction that breakfast was at 6.30am.

He went down to eat an hour earlier than that, and after a while this german fella appears and demands to know why he was there. “Oh I just woke up a bit early” says me mate.

At 5.30 the next morning there were five germans in the breakfast room waiting for him.

I have known mothers who, in their deepest hours of PMD despair, say that they actually considered doing away with their kids.
