Obama claimed a “bright line test” in Syria. Then Syria crossed it, and Obama just looked at the sky and whistled.
But when Trump said there would be consequences, those consequences were dead Russian airmen and a destroyed Russian air base. As a result, Putin didn’t move on Ukraine until Sleepy Joe was installed as “president.”
Trump armed Ukraine and trained their military. So did the UK. The reason Ukraine hasn’t fallen is because of this.

As usual, a tRumper can’t answer a simple question. The stunning lack of tRumper education continues to shock me but not surprise me.
So, a short lesson on the real history and not a tRumper’s view of it.
The US military funding provided to Ukraine was massively increased after the Crimea and Donbas invasions. In other words, the increase occurred during the OBAMA years.
tRump had only to sign the cheques that followed. He was good at signing stuff with his sharpie. Except of course, when he threatened to withhold the funding because he was looking for dirt for his losing 2020 campaign. But that’s cos he’s just a fucking gangsta.
Anyway, back to the consequences and I’ll give you an even bigger lead-in puds lad.

SOOOOO, yes, I understand you want me to answer in a form that is purely speculative, but that’s not a mistake I will make. Trump made a HUGE departure from Obama’s idea of military aid, and provided Ukraine with missile systems and weapons that are killing Russian soldiers today (who really don’t want to be there and are deserting their equipment and refusing orders).
And let’s not forget Obama’s open mic admission to Medvedyev in 2014 when he delivered a message to Putin by saying that he would remove weapons systems AFTER he was re-elected.

Nah, I’m kidding. I’m actually quite sad about this. I’m sad that we’re having this debate. I’m sad that your politics are cemented into a rock so solid, you can’t recognise a bad egg from a good one. This debate is a tiny example of the hatred and division that taints our world.
I’m glad i’m in the UK puds lad. We have rain and long waiting lists for the NHS – but we don’t have guns in every household and we are more moderate about our politics.
