well, q (whoever you really are, man or woman), we all understand your views about politics, and we can hopefully see you kiss all politics threads goodbye as not worth it. Otherwise, we can all ignore the stuck record that politics isn’t worth talking about.
No, money (or the lack of it) is absolutely relevant in everything in this world -…[Read more]

The night where all cats are black. The ‘liberal élite’ is to blame for everything, and engineers everything – ha. (btw, this liberal élite now includes the bulk of the Labour party and a large section of the trade union movement, who want a second vote on Brexit).
Yes, Kyle has a contemptuous approach to his clientele – he abuses them to t…[Read more]

That’s it in a nutshell.
A self-righteous prick who has found that he can make an awful lot of money by his ability to rant against vulnerable people as moral defectives (remind you of anyone?). He salves his conscience – or perhaps is able to keep his show on the air – by spending a lot of money on effective aftercare service.
Nothing to do…[Read more]

Jeremy Kyle is the most popular daytime show on ITV, but it’s just been suspended and the ITV people are wondering whether it should be allowed to continue.
They have got into deep trouble by bringing a mature engaged couple on for a lie detector test on an alleged infidelity. They’d been engaged for over a year, and the guy failed his lie…[Read more]

I’m not in favour of driving anything out.
But it’s a bit rich to say that Q, whose insults are constant, shouldn’t be criticised. The man, if man he is, strikes me as out to destroy the boards by a constant flooding of pointless threads.
People who want to use these boards for discussion and banter with one another are rightly annoyed, and…[Read more]

This story has been going around for some time, Nem.
You’ve admitted its truth,, you’ve said sorry, nothing more to be done. Some people won’t accept sorry, I’ve known myself. They don’t want an apology, they want blood.
Don’t give it to them. Just shrug your shoulders and let life go on. People will believe what they want to believe.

Hi, and I hope you enjoyed it, Ms K.
These programmes tend to lose credibility in their endings. The cop who tried to kill Gill didn’t actually arrange any escape routes for herself if it had worked out. maybe H’s agents are all zombies like Joker’s helpers in the old Batman series.
And a young psycho deciding to join the police! Do they…[Read more]

I don’t believe that anyone should leave, and still less that anyone should be forced out in any way.
Not sure why, you liked, Nem, but as I didn’t hear the original story I can’t say that I’m upset. Was it an attention thing?? Up to you in the end, but you run the risk of nobody believing you when anything serious happens to you.
Anyway, hope…[Read more]

just like real life, wasn’t it?
Jed Mercurio, who writes the thing, doesn’t seem good at endings.
But he excels at coining it. This series goes on a bit too long. Reminds me of a series called Twin Peaks over 30 years ago, when everybody was trying to guess who killed Laura Palmer. That series went on and on to the point where everybody got…[Read more]

H won’t be revealed tonight, because there’s a 6th series coming up.
I just think Gill has been told by H to stitch Hastings up.

It’s the 5th series, Somer. If you have iplayer, it’s well worth a catchup. Series 2 and 3 are great, but this series is bang on form.

Line of Duty, that is.
I wonder how many in jc have been watching this? Nine million in the country, apparently, so presumable must be some people here.
I don’t know who H is but I reckon the real villain is a villainess, as so often, and it’s the lawyer who’s been having meets with Supt. Hastings.
Tonight will find out, and it promises to be a…[Read more]

I was reading about incels – involuntary celibates – men who are shunned by women, and become very angry about it.
One incel in Montreal last year drove his car on to a pavement, killing 10 pedestrians. He was protesting against the refusal of women to sleep with him.
