I never really understood why people think that masks will stop a virus.

A virus is small enough to pass though any filters in a mask, and the masks dont even make a perfect seal.

This of course ignore the fact that if the virus is airborne, then you can absorb the virus though your eyes and tear ducts.

It’s being played down to prevent mass panic. Riots, shops being looted, ect.

There is a lot of talk of a vaccine, but i’m not conviced this is possible. There have been multiple reports of there being multiple strains of the virus, and of people thought to be cured only to be re-infected a few weeks later.
