You’re missing the entire point and clearly not grasping the concept of why working in the police differs from other jobs both in terms of responsibility and how they should behave.
The most important factor in policing crime isn’t how many arrests are made but preventing crime in the first place. Why do you think there is such public clamour for police to be seen on the beat- they act as a deterrent where prevention is seen to be the most important factor in minimalizing criminal acts. The public perception of police is imperative not just in visual image but how they behave creating a climate of fairness but most importantly respect and fear amongst potential criminals in deterring them from possible criminal activity. Videos of police dancing around don’t create a climate of respect but more likely to incite ridicule/ mockery which is the antithesis of what image a professional government body should be attempting to portray… this isn’t a bunch of bankers or accountants , this is a body of people who are charged with protecting lives , by taking lives if needed and the highest responsibility of any job imaginable. With that also comes a responsibility to be viewed in a professional role engineering respect, not for an armed robber to be laughing as he is chased by the lead dancer of a YMCA fb tribute act.
Image and how police are perceived is everything which is why they wear uniform – they are enforcing laws not paid to prat about entertaining bored knuckle draggers on facebook. 50 years ago if a kid was swearing at a cop in the street they would most likely get a clip around the ear instead of being laughed at trying to get down with the kids or the low IQ dimwits finding this nonsense amusing. I’m late 30s despite protestations of your drunken sidekick to the contrary and find it crass, immature and inappropriate behaviour for serving police officers so perhaps it’s time you got a ” grip” my old moose and grew up.

I actually agree with most of your comments, you are very articulate, if a tad verbose, it is odd though why the activities of The Police Dept of a county on a different continent made you so upset. As you have said to Sceptical, why are you even worrying about things that don’t affect you …. It’s a rhetorical question btw.
I’m not sure where this fixation about Ge and I being some sort of cohorts has come from, It’s pretty ludicrous actually, as most people are aware that Ge and I have often had ‘run-in’s’ and are NOT friends , although I think we show each other a bit more respect now, I call that acting like an adult. You say you are 33, I say, I don’t care ! , it means jack shit how old you say you are, it’s a public message forum, I could say I’m 21 !! It means NOTHING , so why even bring it up ?

I’ve seen that video before and it is totally unbelievable, shockingly so and yes, I agree it would be funny if it wasn’t true, however I didn’t understand the rest of the post much and not sure who you are reprimanding ?? Or exactly who you are labelling Alt-right, ( a word bandied about in my opinion to lump anyone with differing views together with racists, fascists and bigots in one big pot) you have used ridicule on many occasions to emphasise a point, not least in the several comical pictures of Donald Trump. So who exactly are you singling out now for your assumption based ire ?
