Well Scep I think you are wrong. For the record I have no problem with reading books, so don’t twist things you are better than that. I love books, I’ve read all my life, probably not the same genre as you, but I’ve always believed you learn at least 1 thing from any book you read, even a trashy novel. I won’t even use a Kindle etc, I love the feel of a new book, the smell of it, daft ? maybe…. I certainly never said you are arrogant because you read books so that whole sententious rant was rather sad. I said I don’t have a designated day I can sit and read books , I also said you name drop the people you’ve read, as if that actually makes your point !! As if the fact you’ve read a book about someone means your point is made for you. It doesn’t make your point, your actual points are often very vague ” I read somewhere that a few people thought this about him , cant remember where” etc etc . I said you come across as Arrogant, and I still believe you do, as do some others, you are right there. You asked for someone to answer you about Stephen Hawking’s lasting Legacy, I gave you my take on it in a non specific way as I’m not an expert and you still just nit picked holes in it, repeating everything you’d already said many times. In my opinion, you sound as if you have a resentment of Stephen Hawking, you sound petty and picky, whether its because he could afford better treatment than your friend who died from MND I’ve no idea, but that would really be petty wouldn’t it ? Do you think everyone who has lost someone to a deadly disease resents others who are cured ? I certainly hope not. I don’t think it would matter what anyone wrote to substantiate Hawking’s legacy, you’d still just pick at it and disagree for your own reasons. And for the record Hawking isn’t a miracle lasting so long, there are plenty who outlive initial prognosis . Most MND sufferers live 4-5 years after first diagnosis, it would seem your friend was very unlucky to only last a year and for that I am very sorry.
Oh and if anyone says ‘ God gave you the strength to cope …. well… kiss me bum x
Linda thanks I totally get what you’re saying… got the T shirt,, But don’t you think we just manage because we have to ? Its totally chaotic and manic and awful, but we mange because we HAVE to ? If we said , no I cant do this would god intervene and save the day ? If he did why do we have to go thru it ? We cope because no one else will do it for you and if you have people you love you put them first, no one else is there to do it so you just crack on… god isn’t helping at all . Sorry and g’night x

Sorry Bad Shift :(I’ve said this before…. at times when we are all stressed, upset, etc etc it must be lovely to feel you have a ‘special’ connection with some higher being who you think of as a friend, I’m almost a bit jealous, however seeing young innocents suffer so badly for no apparent reason makes me seethe.. especially when some pious twit says ” god only takes the good ones to be with him ” which is the stock answer … I want to shout ” ok take the good ones but did they have to suffer so badly ?? ” its a crock.
