My email was hacked, and a message was sent to all my friends telling them I was in Madrid and had been robbed. I needed £1,800 to pay my hotel bill and get a flight home! Details of how to pay the money were included…..I know it sounds funny but the email was very convincing. Anyway luckily none of my friends fell for it..

I tried to delete it but it would not allow me to also they had adjusted the forwarding settings on the email so anything sent to me was forwarded to another account .. bit scary! Its all sorted now, but was a pain at the time.

Hi Cat, I’m not clever with these things either but I bet if you put this post in Technical Q&A one of the boffins there would sort you out superquick… last time this happened to me it was an update that changed my security setting… anyway a friend sorted it for me but basically my firewall was not accepting third party cookies or something like that.

I think the rage experienced in chat is a bit like road rage, I’m totally sure those raging chatters do not act like that in their real life… otherwise just going to the supermarket would be very hazardous.

I try to be civil to people in chat (on the few occasions I’m there) exactly as I am in my real life… have to say though I dont rage at people when I’m driving my car either,,, maybe its anonymity of the computer and behind the wheel of a car that changes people in some way… dunno?

I remember someone saying here once… well you all profess not to like the fights but when there is one the boards popularity increases… maybe there is some of that rage in all of us,, and maybe without it the boards and chat would become very dull.

Pip, pebbles, Kate… whoever you all are I dont know you…. but I can tell you this according to Ruby I am different people here too AND I have Pm ed her and spoke to her about people here, all of which is totally untrue!

In Ruby’s mind though its a fact no matter how much I tell her its rubbish. I know how hurtful it is to be falsely accused, so dont take it to heart if you have been….. just join the I was Falsely Accused by Ruby Club…. it used to be quite exclusive but its getting a bit overcrowded in here now :D
