It’s always best to take what some people say with a large dose of salt.

I’m all for gagging some ppl’s backside’s to stop them talking out of them.

Perhaps there was another reason such as knowing these stories were going to break so pre-emptive action was taken to stop his remains from being dug up and desecrated.
