You’re just embarrassing yourself with your pathetic attempts at humour and juvenile rubbish. You think this type of post deflects away from your substanceless arguments by keep stating the same lines of summarising years of work on a message board and attributing infantile nonsense to people who haven’t said it. You mock Hawkings appearance…[Read more]

(There is 2 groups type A and type B –
TYPE A – is chatters who troll/bully a lot of times if not all the time they troll/bully me or and others for no good reason/s, also people who lie about me or and others insultingly not banterly.
TYPE B – is chatters who are not trolls/bullys, but they say 1 or a few insulting things to me or and others…[Read more]

I have never said anyone is going to hell nor do I think i am arrogant. I’m not stupid either.
There are highly respected scientists that believe in God as well as atheists.
Don’t assume faith equals stupidity. Is it not arrogant to say that believing in God is ludicrous?
My faith is my own, I dont “preach” or belittle people who dont believe what I do.

I have never understood it when people refer to atheists as arrogant as I fail to see the arrogance in believing life is futile other than personal happiness with no discernible purpose to it. Arrogance to me is believing if others don’t subscribe to their way of thinking they are destined for hell which is the ultimate arrogant trait anyone can…[Read more]

I don’t see how you could prove that the shroud was used on Jesus.
If Jesus was a real person, we don’t what what he looked like, or have his DNA (if he even had DNA, being God).
Even if through carbon dating, or some other method showed that the shround wasn’t 2000 years old, it doesn’t disprove that it was used by Jesus either. As there is no…[Read more]

Didnt know you were interested in the shroud Ge…
I agree it has not been properly tested, the Catholic Church wont allow it apparently, which is a shame. There have been a lot of things discovered, like pollen unique to the area being found on the shroud.
How the image got there cant, as yet, be explained or replicated. That makes me curious.…[Read more]

All I can say really is that we are all entitled to our beliefs.
Moosey, we may disagree on our veiws about God but that is what makes life interesting. I have no problem with your lack of belief and have never felt you disrespect mine. I actually like discussingopposing veiws, I think we can all learn something from differing stances.

Out of curiosity , how even if we believe it was genuine and a man called ” Jesus” in the first century was buried in it, how does that prove he is the son of God? In answer to your question, why would anyone want to reproduce it?

The C14 testing has long been debated. The guy in the article is a nuclear chemist.
How, if the shroud is a fake, has no one ever reproduced the image?

My post wasnt meant to be patronising, sorry if it came across like that.
The point I was trying to make was that for me, my faith is about love. Love, tolerance and fogiveness. I agree that some Christians are obnoxious, hypocritical, closed minded people and some atheists are loving, generous, kind people.
Do I believe in the…[Read more]

Of course the Turin shroud is a fake, I remember watching it live when I wasvery young being tested and the evidence has proven conclusively it’s more rubbish from the bible bashers http://www.sillybeliefs.com/shroud.html

Thoughts on this?
The shroud has been studied, argued over, and tested (it isn’t a fake btw, the scrap tested that was deemed fake was a repair made to it)
The image on the cloth has never been replicated, even with our advanced scientific knowledge.

I don’t find it interesting, or useful to talk about individual people, I prefer discuss ideas and concepts.
I think it was a good thing that Hawkins died, he has said some strange things in the last few years such as that we should shut down all radio broadcasts so that aliens don’t invade, and that AI will kill everyone.
It is best that his…[Read more]

These aren’t actually the 10 commandments, which is another thing Christians seem to get wrong a lot. Moses wrote these commandments on stone tablets, but then immediatedly destroyed them when he discovered that his followers began worshiping a golden calf. He returned up the mountain where God gave him new commandments, which were the ones…[Read more]

It’s quite funny witnessing sceptical quoting a book of rubbish written in a bygone era to substantiate his argument whilst refuting tried and tested scientific reasoning like Hawkings using written down physical laws … Scepticals response is talking about ” the book of paul ” in a work of fiction written by man 2000 years ago.

No such thing as God, Christ or sin so your post makes no sense. In any event if there was, what kind of God would send people to hell for not believing in him?

Bearing in mind you don’t believe in God….
Christ was a man, the son of God, He took on all of our sins, each and every one, so we can stand in front of God, forgiven.
The point is, we all sin, can any one of us truly stand up and say we are perfect? Hell, even us Christians get it wrong, that’s the whole point….
You meet someone who claims…[Read more]

Well Moosey, according to these bible bashers, you could be Jack the ripper but as long as you believe in this tosh, you are heading to the clouds to dine with ST Peter and the like. If you lead a decent life helping others but dont subscribe to the good book, the caring creature in the sky sends you down to Satan and the trident up the ar/se.…[Read more]
