During a normal forum one chat session, one of my chat colleagues voiced their objection to my post. They have a right to do that of course but when I asked why they refused to be vaccinated, the reason given by the chatter was advice from ‘medical experts’. I enquired (several times) as to who these medical experts were and unfortunately no names were offered.
The effect that conspiracy theorists, self-proclaimed medical experts and general do-badders (some of which are sadly in the medical field) have on the wider population is extremely concerning but that is a bi-product of society being more connected than ever before. Most peeps are able to see through the fog of doubt and weigh the opposite risks but a significant minority are taken in by this propaganda and consequently the in-action of that minority impacts the majority. Perhaps the minority should be regarded as casualties of the situation instead of labeling them as ignorant. They would do well however to question the ‘medical advice’ that they are given by a cult who’s motives are totally anti-social.
As usual, drac takes a specific scenario to pull on your heart strings and totally ignores the bigger picture.

Glad to see abortion interstate tourism is alive and well Puds.
As a point of information, Roe v Wade was a landmark case in American legal history that protected a woman’s abortion rights since 1973 and recently this precedent was seen as being threatened due to the trump appointments of the right wing justices to the Supreme Court and who basically did not prevent the latest Texas abortion bill.
Abortion, rape, human rights, it’s all f ucking politics.

It’s a REPUBLICAN Bill, created by a REPUBLICAN State Senate meant to appeal to their massive evangelical, pro-life base and is yet another example of the GOP losing touch with humanity while weaponising the unborn foetus for political survival and ignored by a right wing Supreme Court. trump’s silence portrays implicit agreement with the bill because he doesn’t want to aggravate the bible belt.
Update – Texas is being sued by the DOJ.

Me: ‘ What ????!!!! Do you know how stupid that sounds?’
Relative: ‘I do now’.
You forgot to add the increasing costs bit Fishy or haven’t you noticed. Describe the whole picture mate, not just a blinkered view. Increasing wages = increasing costs = increasing inflation. The lower class are about to be fu cked again.
