Kenwood House (see alfie’s post above) was a must for a snack during walks on the heath. When i last went there, it had gone downhill – expensive, and not very pleasant café

Now, Alfie, a question. I lived just by The Favourite, moving there in 1979, and I don’t remember this estate.
I remember estates where Dresden Road met Hazelville road, and there was a road parallel to Hazelville, and there was a modern block of estates – Shelbourne House, I remember. These names are all from memory.
But I cannot remember the…[Read more]

It was the first film I saw without a formal story – the mix of poetry, art, hitoruical documentary, symbolism was truly mind-blowing.

My favourite poster – Ms K..
I used to go to Victoria Park a lot in the late 70’s and early 80s. There were a lot of festivals there.
Also Clissold Park, toward Stoke Newington.

Alfie, that was read with great interest.
I know the area, worked for years on Seven Sisters Road, drank in The George Robey (also frequented by Lydon), but I really don’t have your knowledge of its background and idiosyncrasies.
The photograph by McCullin I’ve not seen before, but I’m glad I’ve seen it. It’s a genuine classic.

Maybe they did, cross.
I did go into the Favourite, but the Shaftesbury was my main drinking hole. You get to know one another by sight.
I can’t remember the guy who threw the chair really. I remember he was a loudmouth
