It looks good.

Well, I laughed….
though the last post is a totally inaccurate attack form the Brexifanatics who have only one thing in mind to wreck this country’s economy and etc etc etc

Your box is locked to my messages, too.
Could you let me know in some way how I don’t see what’s really going on? x

I guessed who it was, but in my book I address the person’s name.
Nobody is ever sure in the anonymous world of the web – I’m glad you’re taking all the attacks less seriously – at least I hope you are.

On the surface, that seems like a really strange report,. It doesn’t say the UK is the second greatest power as much as it has the second greatest ‘geo-political capability’, whatever that is.
I’ll read it this weekend and let you know.
My point about international law still holds. Might doesn’t equal right yet, despite Trump.

Drac,
there’s nothing to stop us torturing people to death, or crucifying them, or making stateless a young girl who was groomed into a death cult by a man twice her age, and then says stupid things at the age of 19 – and who at the age of 19 doesn’t say stupid things. We all say stupid things here; or leaving her and her surviving baby to rot…[Read more]

You’re welcome.
The poem doesn’t strike me as arrogant.
Perhaps it’s the brooding within me whihc led me to see that.
I see what you mean by acceptance.
Your box is locked too.

I have no idea and zero interest in who or what this poem is about
but I do like the poem.
A real brooding sense of sadness and anger in the rhythm.
Well done.

That’s great.
To me, this is a real problem in contemporary British society.
What did you find?

It’s not legal. It breaks international law.
It’s not a directive at all, from the UN or anyone else. It’s a Declaration of Universal Human Rights to whihc the UK is a signatory. There are several such expressions of international law, which means internationally agreed law.

There’s bloodlust all around.
If that baby dies because he’s been kept illegally in a refugee camp for too long, then his blood will be on the head of Sajid Javid.
The three girls were 15 when they joined that death cult, and they were bright by all accounts. At 15, their hormones must have been racing around their bodies like racing cars on…[Read more]

Yes, I get the gist of it.
I’m a Christian (no need to repeat your antipathy to this, you’ve made it in very strong terms). I have sympathy for both groups of people. But one set – the Manchester people – are victims; the other set – the ISIS people – are killers and need to be punished.
I’ve no idea whether she’s a killer. If she is, then she…[Read more]

I totally agree with the above statements.
This may get quite complicated, and it’s easy to rush to judgement.
The Home Office have stated that they will ensure she is not stateless. But the family seem to be denying that she has dual citizenship, so it goes to law.
It is starting to look like Sajid Javid making a bid for the Tory leadership…[Read more]

You jump to conclusions bloody quickly, don’t you?
Thin is absolutely right on the legal points.
Everybody (including the Met, who were warning her that the moment she came back to Britain she would be held in detention and thoroughly investigated) has been working on the assumption that she is British, and has no other nationality. Under…[Read more]

In your dreams, you burk! lol
I must say the decision surprises me because my understanding is that it’s illegal to make someone stateless.
Only yesterday, Javid, the Home Sec, was saying that if he could strip her of British citizenship legally, then he would, but was stressing that this had to be on the grounds of dual citizenship.
So…[Read more]

You’ve left, but maybe you’ll read this reply?
The person elected President is just that – President, not Dictator.
The US Constitution ensures that by limiting his powers through Congress and the Supreme Court.
If he declares a national emergency, then it gives him much greater powers. That’s why there had better be a bloody good cause – eg…[Read more]

Alfie, I usually defer to you as a native-born Londoner when it comes to that city,
but
aren’t you being a bit old-fashioned?
The East End is the eastern end of London. About 100 years ago, London did end at Bow/Mile End (which makes Ms Begum an East Ender for sure), and East Ham was not regarded as being in London. I don’t think it was…[Read more]
