That’s bizarre.
I’m a Thatcherite now!
Ah, well, anything goes with these people.

I’m not in favour of the death penalty for theft.
It’s a crime, for sure, and needs to be punished.
Sometimes you have to use violence, and my guess is that when panicked you could even kill someone invading your house.
But I don’t believe in the death penalty for theft
That would be sharia law, wouldn’t it, Master Rudeboy?

Minford and his mates are prime movers of making Britain a Singapore-on-the-Thames. Get rid of unions, get rid of regulations to free up trade and bring back profits. That’s why they’re right-wing. That’s why Rees-Mogg looks to them. That’s why Thatcher looked to them.
They are free market. I’m pro-free trade. I’m not in favour of a totally free…[Read more]

The last word of the young lad who had a hole blown in him by Martin was ‘mum’.
Heart-rending when you think just a little about it.

Bootle is a member of the right-wing Economists for Brexit group, a free trade group whose most prominent member was Patrick Minford.
Minford was one of the masterminds of Thatcherism, which is why I call him right-wing. Silly, biassed me. maybe Thatcher was wrong and she was left-wing really. Does it matter? Minford brought the same free…[Read more]

well, Paigey, that’s the danger, one of many ignored by these betrayed brexi-bigots.
There is a real chance that you may not need your irish passport to escape the joys of living in Brexit Britain, though *fingers crossed

Yeah, I see that about Rees-Mogg. He’s fun to watch, and he is a man of principle. But, the principles are bloody awful
I doubt I’ll ever be able to ask her for the specifics, but she’s a brave gal taking on a right-wing libertarian such as yourself
Really, I wish you both the very very best.

That’s right, Linda. That’s the real world.
We can throw our hands up in despair or we can get stuck in.
Here in the UK, we could very well be facing a major constitutional crisis – maybe.
Mrs May is trying her best but she’s been set an impossible task. She wants to leave the EU, and she has to respect the Good Friday agreement for an open…[Read more]

Interesting choice, M.
Bootle is one of the right-wing market economists looked to by Jacob Rees-Mogg, and is very keen on a no-deal solution.
Most people think no-deal would be a real problem, causing misery for large numbers of people, but hey, no pain, no gain
.So why do you think Bootle’s prescription for Britain being successful…[Read more]

Jamie, do you feel I insulted you??
Linda doesn’t seem to think so.
Do you?

But, Gerry, where has this happened??
I’ve not even answered the guy yet! I’m just pointing to statistics thatI’d not seen before and had to check.
But that doesn’t matter to you, does it, Gerry? You try different approaches – smashface politics, a facetious superiority, warning people not to read what I say. But the approaches always amount to…[Read more]

And how typical of you to read the worst into it and refuse see any other meaning.

You’re far too touchy, maybe because you’re low.
You came under a lot of attack because of your style. People were saying over and over again that you were incoherent. You seem to be more direct in your stuyle these days.
I pointed out that it was your style – like a notebook.
People have attacked Jamie for her grammar.

Have you ever wondered why a man totally lacking in empathy such as myself was supporting you, Jamie, and not making fun of your grammar?
