If I told you how many times as a crisis worker I dealt with those wishing to end their life due to low self esteem, loss, relationships, hardships financial issues you be truly amazed.”

No.  I wouldn’t be amazed at all, I doubt many of us would, after all none of us are 21, we’ve all had plenty of life experiences by now.

Nem, very brave of you to open up on here, especially knowing how some people can behave on these boards and how they can punish you, should you piss them off over something trivial in the future…..

It’s great to hear a positive post even if the title thread is ‘Depression’, lolol ! I think people bandy the word around far too willy nilly. ” Ohhhhh  I’m depressed ….. ”  No. You aren’t, your just pissed off, there’s a massive difference. I don’t think I’ve ever had it, there have been periods of my life that have been very tuff and very sad, but that, I believe, is different to clinical depression. I do have a good friend who suffers from it, and she lives with it daily, a happy, out going person it would seem, but constantly battling inner demons of low self worth, doubt and anxiety. As you say it’s a daily battle, some days are much easier than others, recognising you have an issue and accepting help is a massive step, and not listening to other friends who think they are experts is another good thing !!

Glad you are feeling stronger and coping, well done you girly !!  Ditto Jamie xxx

Hi Nem, nice to see you posting

Barras had 29 previous convictions. 29! Including 7 for theft and 6 for fraud. The lad was only 16 yet he had 29 convictions!”

That disturbs me as much as anything, and there are kids like this all over the country and from varying cultures and groups. What home life have they experienced ? what care or support ? What discipline or love ?  Don’t get me wrong I’m not doing a bleeding heart ‘oh the poor lad etc etc’, but when you think about it, and wonder how these kids are gonna turn out in our society it is kinda scary ….

29 convictions, presumably not all in his 16th year, so how young was he when it started ? and whose fault was it then ? when he really was just a kid !!

Scep I do wish you’d direct your moans at the right person, I haven’t demanded you answer anything. I did ask once, politely… so Buttercup , maybe you could call Rude…. I dunno…. how about sweet pea ?

    #1109954

Apparantly they’ve tackled it in Glasgow and the knife crime figures have halved. Don’t know all the details but where kids are being bullied into joining gangs they’ve moved the family away. Taken them out of the situation. More to it I know, may be worth looking into what’s working for them ?

I don’t live on here, as people are beginning to notice.

This is a brexit-heavy site, and a brexit-heavy board. There is no way that I’m going to persuade Gerry, Rude Boy, Mooosey, etc that we should remain.

Apart from occasional interventions by Paigey, who always makes succinct and sharp points, I’m the only one posting in support of Remain here, and if I were to answer every question fired at me I’d be living here at least, living in the Happy Farm for sure.

I’ll answer the questions in my time, not anyone else’s, and I’ll put up with the childish claims of victory by some when I don’t answer immediately. My ‘apologies’ for the delays.

I don’t live on here. I work and have a life ! Actually I’d like to alter my previous post. There aren’t even half a dozen posters on this subject. No you won’t change my mind. No idea about Ge or Rude, tbh I’m not even sure Ge has said what he voted , only that he saw flaws in your initial statements and subsequent arguments !  so basically yes it’s you against 3-4 with Jamie , Paige gets a nod for being succinct ( or on your side )  :-)

posting political threads is always going to be a Pandora’s Box, you really just have to suck it up Buttercup  :good:

Nice to see you Kenty x

Scep you keep saying this is a ‘ Brexit heavy board , a Brexit heavy site ‘ that’s ridiculous, there’s only half a dozen posters !! I’ve no idea what the room is like ? That could be heavily in favour of remain ! You keep getting questions thrown at you because you keep putting threads up about Brexit that a few people who actually post disagree with !! You put up statements saying the end is nigh , predicting how terrible it will all be, how terribly terribly important it is that we stop and concern ourselves with it, now complain that your all on your own here !!!

Its just a chatsite with a message board, not a political forum. I think you under estimated how many normal, non racist, working people, not students, are in favour of Brexit ! A bit like they did in 2016 ! Don’t act all victimised because the responses to your threads are pro Brexit and come up with decent argument to support their views, that’s just childish as well

Rude, can you actually point out to me where I have sided with Scep ? I liked 1, I repeat 1 post, because he concurred that ‘prig’ is not particularly offensive. I’ve liked several of your posts, so what does that mean ? Did you not also see where I wrote that people should learn that ppl have become so brainwashed by the EU that they can’t differentiate between ‘an identity, culture, civilizations’ etc  on one hand, and a  particular set of political views and opinions on the other. Ie: not supporting free movement does not mean you are a racist ! as an example. I was actually saying it’s wrong to brand anyone Racist, Fascist, etc just because there opinion differs from yours. If I make a post that happens to concur with something someone else has posted that’s just coincidence I assure you. I’ve my own mind, and I’ll speak up when I feel the need to.

If I like a post I like a post, end of. It has nothing to do with the ‘poster’. You can take me at my word on that, or you can disbelieve me. It matters not to me. I shall continue to ‘like’ a post wherever I see fit.  :-)

Rude, my questions were posed 5 days ago, 8 pages ago so he’s hardly in a rush… where I posted this , although politically things have changed slightly in the last 5 days I realise….

Why are we not surprised that the EU have bullied us into a no win position ? After all they have form for it ?

Any country that has voted no has been forced to have a 2nd referendum, despite The EU proclaiming Democracy would be paramount and results would stand , they promise all kinds of opt-outs and basically sell a lie , get the result they want in the 2nd referendum then conveniently  renege on any promises or force through new legislation or a new treaty which makes all other deals , promises or treaty’s null and void.

When France voted NO to the ”Treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe” with 55% followed by the Netherlands with a resounding 61% NO majority , referendums were swiftly cancelled in Poland, Portugal, Ireland, The UK and Denmark . The EU promised AGAIN to respect the results… However then The Lisbon Treaty replaced the Constitution for Europe Treaty, practically Identical in every way , this was pushed through French and Dutch parliaments WITHOUT  a referendum !!  Sneaky eh, so much for respecting the democratic results !! And people don’t think they are Bullies ? pfffft  yea right …..

I don’t know if you hadn’t realised but Scep and I are hardly on the same side over EU ? …..

I’m consistant , I dont preach to anyone about being shocked as it doesn’t bother me.. I find it amusing an old woman has to come online screaming about me as retard etc. I view you as a sanctimonious clown purely because you don’t apply a level playing field to all chatters, displaying blatant favouritism towards braindead entities and judging the post on the author rather than the content.

Thanks for your usual balanced, well-argued and thought-out perspective, Gerry :-) :-) :-)

fyi, my family were apparently on Hitler’s death list, the one drawn up by the SS in prparation for the invasion of Britain in 1940.

You’ve quoted Rude above, not Ge.

    #1109824

Moosey, so be consistent with your preaching- why you decide to get involved in arguments that don’t concern you I’ve no idea. I make a general rule to stay out of them,

Hahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:   :yahoo:
