This week, New Zealand entered a strict national lockdown after a single case of Covid-19 emerged. The pandemic gives, the pandemic wins.
Since the announcement of confinement, around twenty additional cases have appeared. The virus had been circulating for a few weeks, in a largely unvaccinated population. It turns out that the Covid risk has…[Read more]

Right now we seem to be going stagflation thanks to covid and Brexit. The government been pushing healthy living for years reducing sugar and salt in our food. Organic food…five a day and other crap too.
But if food prices continue to increase people will soon stop following that advice. Good intentions don’t put food in children’s bell…[Read more]

I have the feeling if kiwi was on the Titanic and saw an iceberg about the hit the ship………he’d say: there no need to worry global warming will take care of that !!!
And that’s where New Zeeland is right now…… about to be hit by a wave of covid while there government looks the other way and plays it down.

New Zealand’s in a panic over one new case of covid and lockdown for 3 days.
Now you’d think with only 5 million people the country would be fully vaccinated by now …. but there not. With only 848K fully vaccinated and 17% receiving there first jab well behind the rest of the world.
Did Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern think it wouldn’t get in…[Read more]

Depends on where you live H
Never knock an idea just cos its old.
Net curtains can be life savers if you live on a bus route, near open ground or hi rise living. In the summer they keep insects and noisy parkers out.

The Treaty of Maastricht was a disaster for unskilled workers in the UK. A wave of cheap labour from the EU cut wages by 1/2 within a few short years. It was so bad the National Minimum Wage Act was brought in and a raft of “in work” benefits. The idea that more workers would pay more tax to cover the cost was disparaged once the EU worke…[Read more]

Roz its a great little stalking car too
They cant hear you coming
But on a more serious note: running costs are everything with cars. Most people do less than 50 miles a week and sit alone in there over priced tinned boxes with wheels.

Let me sweeten the deal
120 euros road tax
5 euros per electric recharge or less
So lets say you fully charge it 7 days per week:
35 euros + 2.5 euros for tax… that’s under 40 euros per week to keep
If you can find a cheaper car to keep… let me know
