I must admit…in my days of management,..i have known a lot who use the sickness clause as an excuse for a holiday. Some see how much sickness they can claim and think…hmmmm…i’ll have an extra weeks holiday this year.

hey amplifier! yeah that comment rings a lot of bells. I always found and find that the reason you are the boss in that situation is that you can sort it and get the job done. It’s interesting that you mention “pulling a sickie” …that a term for staff phoning in with ” i won’t be in today because….?”

Yes King..Deal was cancelled. I think it was a bit too clever for it’s own good. They even got Joan Collins on the show who won about 20 000 just to show that even rich celebs can’t win big…it’s all natural. nice comment jenni….yeah…..going self employed is like being a trucker…you got to be in it for the long haul. There are advantages and disadvantages to both. I think some of this comes down to what sort of person you are, how brave you are and how big the bridges are that allowed one to get there.

Suspicion and doubt, one can do without, people know who you are and you won’t go far. If you want to survive…then just be alive ….’cause the show must go on and the burden weighs a tonne.

I lost a whole stone back in August on my cycling trip in just under 6 days. Cycled 510 miles and lived on Flap-jack and water mostly. Ok…according to T.V magazine…..Knight Rider is being shown again from the beginning starting next Tuesday on channel 96 free-view. I re-tuned my T.V tonight to see if it would come up but i can’t seem to get it. My T.v mag is T.V choice……i prefer the lay out of What’s on T.V but that doesn’t or didn’t include Horror Channel listings.
